Nicole Hand and Jodee Richardson are established Newfoundland musicians whose duo sound is a blend of their individual strengths, drawing from acoustic guitar, saxophone, bassoon, piano and vocals. They have played to large theatres and intimate rooms with their set of well-known tunes of all genres, featuring evocative originals, favourite covers and dynamic recitations, usually inspired by Newfoundland and Labrador culture and experiences.
Their most beloved project is their annual tour of the province where they perform in remote communities and discover new audiences and friends, from St. Lewis in Labrador to Long Island in Green Bay.
Aside from their solo careers in music, theatre, film and arts admin, Jodee and Nicole have shared the stage in the past with collaborations between original bands The Pathological Lovers, Fur Packed Action and Ouroboros. Jodee is also regularly featured as a vocalist with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, where Nicole has been a tenured bassoonist since 2008.
In 2022 the couple began producing their own original, all-ages puppet show around the holidays in aid of local food banks. Their newest endeavour, nine-member original band Hit Piece, has performed at the acclaimed Writers at Wood Point Festival annually since 2024.
Both originally from Conception Bay South, Nicole and Jodee got hitched in 2025 in advance of their Just Married To’er. They currently reside in downtown St. John’s with their dog, Nan.
